Took my braids out in June and finally admitted my edges were gone. Three months in and there's actual baby hair at my left temple where there was nothing.

Hair works on its own clock. If nothing about your edges or your scalp feels different after three months, email us and we refund you. Keep the bottle.
I've tried growth oils before. How is this different? +

Most oils ask you to use them every day forever and promise regrowth in 30 days. Glory is built for one specific window: the week your hair is out of braids and your scalp is recovering. Different product, different moment, different promise.

Will this make my hair greasy? +

Not if you use it the way it's meant to be used. It goes on the hairline and the partings as a pre-wash treatment, sits for an hour or two, then gets washed out. It is not a daily leave-in.

How long until I notice anything? +

Three to six months. We'd rather tell you that now than sell you a 30-day miracle you'll be disappointed by. The 90-day card in the kit tells you what to look for along the way.

Do I have to stop wearing braids? +

No. That advice is everywhere and almost nobody can follow it. What we ask is different: give your hair one week off between installs instead of going straight back in.

What's actually in it? +

Coconut oil, castor oil, and eleven botanicals infused slowly rather than added as an extract: fenugreek, cloves, hibiscus, rosemary, lavender, rose petals, black seed, moringa, amla, and bhringraj. The full INCI list is on the back label and on this page. Contains fenugreek — avoid if you have a peanut allergy.

two stars because my order sat in processing for 6 days before even shipping. I ordered on a monday and it didn't leave the warehouse until the following sunday. i've heard great things about the oil itself but the wait was frustrating and I almost cancelled

Customer photo review of Glory Hair Oil

i want to write this review because i wish someone had told me about this sooner. i've been natural for 6 years and spent probably hundreds of dollars on oils, butters, serums, and treatments. my hair was still breaking, still not growing past a certain length, still dry by day 2 after wash day. my friend in my natural hair group kept raving about Glory and i finally caved. i am honestly frustrated that i waited so long. after just 3 weeks, my hair started holding moisture longer. after 6 weeks my edges that had been sparse for YEARS are filling back in. i'm at week 10 now and i've retained more length than in any previous 10 week period. i tell every person who asks me about my hair to get this oil. it's not just hype. it actually works

four stars — this oil is clearly working and i'm going to keep buying it. i'd give five stars but i had a small packaging issue where the inner seal was already partially opened when I received it. scared me a bit, turned out fine — month 3 update and still obsessed

Glory Hair Oil

my daughter has mixed hair that gets super dry and frizzy. i was using coconut oil and shea butter which helped a little but not enough. a friend recommended Glory and the difference in her hair texture is remarkable. her curls are defined, her scalp is calmer, and she actually loves getting her hair done now because her detangling sessions are so much faster. worth every single penny — five stars forever

Glory Hair Oil

i've never had a hair oil work this consistently across multiple months of use — most lose effectiveness. not Glory — update: results keep getting better

Glory Hair Oil

this is a 10 out of 10, full stop. no notes, no complaints, nothing but gratitude for this product — this remains undefeated

Glory Hair Oil

i applied this before my silk press and my hair came out so shiny and healthy looking my stylist assumed I'd done a treatment — still thriving with this

Glory Hair Oil

Glory Hair Oil

ordered it because a friend wouldn't stop talking about it. she was right 😭 — this remains undefeated

Glory Hair Oil

no greasy residue, just hydrated happy hair. that's literally all i needed (my second purchase and still impressed)

Glory Hair Oil

three stars for now — not rating the oil itself poorly because i don't think it's been long enough to judge. my issue is that my tracking number didn't work for the first 5 days and i had no idea where my order was. a better tracking system would make a big difference — this remains undefeated

Glory Hair Oil

Why edges go first, and why they don't come back on their own

The hair around your hairline is finer and shallower than the rest of your head. It is the first thing tension finds.

Why edges go first, and why they don't come back on their own

The hair around your hairline is finer and shallower than the rest of your head. It is the first thing tension finds.
Tension

Tension

A tight install pulls at the follicle every hour it's in. The soreness in the first two days is the signal. Most of us were taught to ignore it.

Inflammation

Inflammation

Pulling that never lets up keeps the follicle inflamed. This is the stage where things are still reversible, and it's the stage nobody tells you about.

Scarring

Scarring

Inflammation held long enough closes the follicle for good. Dermatologists put that window at roughly six to twelve months of constant tension.

You didn't do this to yourself. You were sold a word.

Protective. It's on every packet of hair, in every salon, in every tutorial. It made a promise: keep your hair away from the world and it will be safe.
Nobody mentioned the part that matters. It isn't the braid that costs you your hairline. It's going straight back into the next one, six weeks after the last, for four years, with no gap in between. Tension you never take off stops being protection somewhere around month six.
You followed the instructions. The instructions were incomplete.

Keep the braids.Give the edges a week.

The Rest Week

Six weeks in a style. One week out of it. That's the whole method, and it fits the calendar you already live by. Glory is what you use during that seventh week.

Take it down. Then stop.

Take it down. Then stop.

Don't book the next install yet. Detangle gently, wash, and let your scalp meet air for a few days.

Work the hairline, not the whole head.

A few drops along the edges, the temples and the partings. Massage two minutes. Let it sit an hour or overnight, then wash it out.

Go back in looser.

Go back in looser.

Ask your stylist for a looser install and a bigger part at the front. Then do it again in six weeks. That's the cycle.

What to expect, honestly

Most people quit in week five because nobody told them what week five is supposed to look like. Here it is.

Day 1 to 7

Your scalp stops complaining

Tenderness and flaking settle down. This is comfort, not regrowth. Anyone who tells you otherwise at day seven is selling you something.

Week 4

The hair you still have behaves better

Less snapping at the front when you detangle. Your edges lie down instead of frizzing. Take your second photo here and compare it to day one.

Month 3

You feel it before you see it

Run a finger along the hairline. Short, stubborn hairs where it used to be smooth. This is the milestone that matters, and it is the one nobody photographs well.

Month 6

Someone else notices

Usually, your stylist is at the front, before you are. Two full cycles of rest weeks will be behind you by then.

Questions people actually ask

Is it too late for me? +

We can't answer that from a website, and any brand that tells you it can is guessing. Here's the honest version: if you can still see fine, short hairs in the thin area, the follicles are likely still active. If the skin there is smooth and shiny with nothing on it at all, that area may be scarred, and no oil reaches scarred follicles. A dermatologist can tell you in one appointment. Most people have a mix of both.

Will it work if I wear wigs instead of braids? +

Yes, and the same logic applies. It's the tension from the closure, the glue and the tight braid pattern underneath that reaches your hairline. The rest week works the same way.

I'm postpartum. Is this for me? +

Partly. Postpartum shedding is hormonal and it resolves on its own, usually between six and twelve months. Glory won't speed that up and we won't pretend it does. What it can help with is the tension damage sitting underneath it, which doesn't resolve on its own.

How does it smell? +

Warm and herbal. Cloves and rosemary lead. It's a real infusion, so it smells like one rather than like perfume. It rinses out.

Can I use it while my braids are in? +

Sparingly, on the partings, and only if you're washing regularly. Oil sitting on a scalp for six weeks under a style builds up and can make things itchier, not better. The rest week is where this product earns its place.

How long does one bottle last? +

About two rest weeks are used as directed, so roughly three to four months on a normal braid cycle.

How does the 90-night guarantee work? +

Use it for three months. If nothing feels different, email us with your order number. Full refund, no return, no photos required, no argument.

Keep the braids. Give the edges a week.
